The Tony Cokes Remixes(2020)

Commissioned for the 10th Berlin Biennial The Tony Cokes Remixes takes two works by pioneering video artist Tony Cokes and creates performative responses. The first, a collaboration with choreographer Will Rawls responds to Cokes' Black Celebration about the Watts riots in Los Angeles, 1965 and the theft and destruction of commodities as expressions of rebellion. The second, with choreographer Jen Rosenblit remixes Cokes' Evil.66.2 (DT.sketch.2.7) in a queering embodiment of Donald Trump.
