The Tony Cokes Remixes(2020)

Commissioned for the 10th Berlin Biennial The Tony Cokes Remixes responds to two works by pioneering video artist Tony Cokes. The first, a collaboration with choreographer Will Rawls remixes Cokes' Black Celebration about the Watts riots in Los Angeles, 1965 and the theft and destruction of commodities as expressions of rebellion. The second, created and performed with choreographer Jen Rosenblit remixes Cokes' Evil.66.2 (DT.sketch.2.7) embodies and channels a queered, bi-gendered Donald Trump.
